The rise of Ubuntu
I really didn't know too much about the history of
Ubuntu until
I read this Forbes article about Mark Shuttleworth. Mark is a very rich man, due to selling one of his companies to VeriSign for $700 million in stock in 2000, but not a man who wants to hoard his money. He used his expansive bank account to create and launch a flavor of Linux dubbed Ubuntu. I've been hearing about Ubuntu and I've checked it out once acutally. I like the fact that they are more than happy
to ship you out a free cd no matter where you live.
