new Windows Live Contacts Gadget is now available
With the new Windows Live Contacts Gadget (in beta btw) you get access to an MSN/Hotmail users contact list with just a few lines of Javascript. It gives developers easy access to thie information, making mashups using this kind of user data eaiser to achieve. You can get a look how the code involved in using this data on the MSDN article titled Building a Mashup with the Windows Live Contacts Gadget and Virtual Earth and you can catch some of this gadget goodness in action samples here. The only thing that's a little annoying with this is that MS Virtual Earth totally broke my back button. Clicking back didn't take me to my previous site. That's because there were a ton of "Channel" and "Internal Proxy" pages in my back button list. What's up with that?!? ¶ 5:03 AM
