Need to send out 30 million e-mails?
BlueArc, with their Titan storage system, and IBM, with their CommuniGate servers, have set a new record for SPECmail performance. They were able to send out 30 million e-mails, or 12,500 per minute, in a single day.The previous record was held by Sun Microsystems. This basically means that large ISPs can use setups like this to handle large amounts of data and storage instead of clustering a larger number of smaller servers together.
