Verizon Wireless releases ringback tones nationally Verzion Wireless was the first major carrier to introduce ringback tones in the US but they weren't they first to release them nationally. T-Mobile had that pleasure back in December of last year. Now, Verizon has caught up by releasing their ringback tone service nationally. The service is $.99 a month and songs are $1.99 a piece.
