SBC Comm gunning for low cost dialup pushers with new DSL plan
I wonder how Aol, Netzero and all the other dial-up pushers will respond to this. SBC Communications announced a $14.95 DSL plan for new customers. Looks like you will have to sign a 12-month contract (which wouldn't bother me) and it's kind of hard to find out what the upload speed is going to look like but that still doesn't blemish the deal enough to make it look bad. AOL is charging over $20 for dialing up and for almost half of that you can now get high speed. Nice.
