Windows Mobile edition 5.0 debuts
El Gato (Bill Gates) unleashed Windows Mobile 5.0 today at the mobile software developers conference in Las Vegas today. Window Mobile 5.0 replaces the Packet PC and Smartphone OS brands and comes with PowerPoint viewing, updated Word and Excel versions to allow for greater compatibility between PC created docs, and even persistant memory storage. Once again, Micorsoft is playing catchup to Blackberry's butt whoopin. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's worked well for them in the past, I just don't see it working for them forever. ¶ 2:59 PM
