RIM is the new #1... PalmOne now #2 RIM (Research In Motion) has overtaken PalmOne as the leader in the handheld-computer market. PalmOne's shipments fell by 26.3 percent and it's market share fell to 30.5 percent while RIM increased shipmets by 75.6 percent. Rim also watched their market share grow to 20.8 percent. RIM's e-mail pushing technology was key for business execs and the like who most drove RIMs growth. More sales people are picking up on it as well because a lot fo them are now able to access company websites so they can get their sales-related data.
