Napster and Dwango hop into ringtone business together

In their constant battle to attempt to steal some of iTunes' thunder, Napster and Dwango Wireless announced a pact to offer ringtones to AT&T and Cingular subscribers thru Napstertones. Napstertones will allow AT&T and Cingular's 70 million strong subscriber base to download ringtones of popular songs for $1.99 to $2.99. You could always make your own ringtones as well. Just remember people will hear this music. Don't flub up your cool points by interrupting some important meeting with your Ace-of-Base blasting cell phone. Or you could keep the tunes and just set it to vibrate. Discreet chic. Nice.
