Google Web Accelerator goes crazy, potential security risks and headaches
Lifehacker is posting about how people are running into all kinds of issues with the Google Web Accelerator. I downloaded it and have runinto some issues myself. I couldn't get past page one results from a Google search I did without having to turn off the accelerator. Apparently some people are also noticing that when visiting some forums, they show as logged in as someone they're not. 37Signaler Jason Fried also noticed that the Google Web Accelerator was deleting some of their users Backpackit content. He posted some code for you RubyonRailers on how to fix and what others can do to secure thier web apps. I expect Google to lrelease a fix as these problems become more widespread. I'm all for the fast release of product and all but maybe there was some more testing needed? Or are we all just building our apps wrong :)
