Tech: Panasonic's Oxyride batteries..ride the oxy Panasonic's Oxyride batteries have gotten quite a lot of hype from Panasonic recently and for good reason it seems. In high-drain devices, the Panasonic Oxyride batteries did quite a bit better than regular alkaline batteries. It actually did help flashlights shine a little brighter, fans fan a little faster and screwdrivers, umm, turn a little faster. They let' out 1.7 volts compared to the 1.5 volts of alkalines. more details available here
