OLED? more like OYESPLEASE OLEDs (organic light emitting diodes) are beginning to catch on, and for good reason. First of all, the screens refresh faster so they play video better and the can display nearly four-times as many colors as a same size LCD screen can. OLEDs are also electroluminescence (say that 5 times fast jumping backwards...cause i said so!) meaning they emit their own light. That makes them a bit brighter and sharper, even when viewed from any angle. Because of this (and since they're not using a backlight, LCD-style) they tend to be battery friendly, which can be a big boon for high end media devices.
