According to this report on Yahoo, Amazon has been trying to work a deal with either Netflix or Blockbuster as opposed to trying to jump in between them and build up their own service. Blockbuster and Netflix are going to war to win the DVD mail in rental crown. Blockbuster spent $99 million on customer acquisitions last year and has stated that they plan to spend $120 million this fiscal year. That's a lotta dough and I don't think Netflix's pocket are deep enough. So far though, I prefer Netflix only because they kind of grew on me. I did hear about how they would delay shipping your movies fast it you order too many movies, that fact I don't like. But hey, they need to turn a profit too so I guess I can understand.
